On January 16, 2019, Mr. Pierre-Luc Vogel, notary in Saint-Malo, officially took office as President of the Council of Notariats of the European Union (CNUE).
The term of office lasts one year and he succeeds a German notary, Me Marius Kohler.
During this, the European Parliament and the European Commission will be renewed. The French presidency of the CNUE will actively sensitize the candidates to the various positions and the persons who will be elected or appointed on the qualities of continental law, the need for regulation policies of the regulated professions and the advantages brought by respect for multiculturalism and multilingualism.
Above all, it will take advantage of this key political moment to present concrete political proposals to improve European legislation in order to make life easier for citizens, families and businesses affected by cross-border legal situations.
The 22 CNUE member notariats will be invited to promote these proposals.
In July 2019, for the first time, the CNUE will publish a study on real estate prices in several major European cities. In November 2019, a major exhibition on historical authentic acts and the use of new technologies in notarial offices will be held in Brussels.
