Yes. Any person may designate in advance the person responsible for exercising the functions of curator or tutor if they were to be placed under a measure of judicial protection (art. 448 C. civ.). To be valid, the designation must be made by declaration before a notary, or by an act that you have fully drafted, dated, and signed (art. 1255 C. proc. civ.).
This designation is then binding on the judge unless the designated person is unable to carry out this mission or if this choice is contrary to the interest of the protected person. Finally, the chosen person can refuse this mission (art. 448 C. civ.).
