Yes. Theoretically speaking, the accommodation acquired with a 0% loan must remain the main residence of the borrower during the six years following the date of payment of the loan (art. L.31-10-6, al. 1 CCH). It therefore cannot be sold.
However, the borrower can transfer the outstanding capital, for the acquisition or construction of a new residence (art. L.31-10-6, al. 2 CCH). The credit institution must be informed and may oppose this transfer if it has the effect of reducing the guarantees available to the latter (art. D.31-10-6, 6°, al. 2 CCH).
